Angels and Archangels

Tonight’s blog is all about Angels and how the Angelic realm is such an important help to humanity. For those who’ve seen the miracle videos on YouTube, they will know how protective they are of the human race and the divine intervention they have been known to provide. Some blessed few of us have been witness to their divine intervention. Regardless of religion or an individuals belief system, stories and sightings of Angels are a part of our history of divinely orchestrated divine intervention.

Archangels are very powerful spiritual beings that have captured our attention for centuries. Arch means ruling, or chief in Greek. Some religious texts refer to an Archangel as being at a high level in the celestial hierarchy. While the exact number of archangels is unknown, many traditions and faiths reference in total, seven Archangels.

The book of Enoch was explicitly quoted in the New Testament and by many of the early Church Fathers. Further to this, the Ethiopian Orthodox Church to this day recognizes the book of Enoch as valid.

Various other systems and as such, some astrologers, associate each Archangel with one of the traditional seven luminaries: The Moon, Mercury, Venus, the Sun, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn.

The patron of animals and of the environment, Archangel Ariel’s name means ‘lion or lioness of God’.

Archangel Azrael’s name means ‘whom God helps’ and he is often referred to as the ‘Angel of Death’.

Azrael meets the soul of a person and helps them in the transition of physical death in addition to helping newly crossed over souls in adjustment. He also helps loved ones who are still on the earth plane in dealing with their grief and processing the loss of their loved ones, offering comfort.

This archangel assists in all types of transitions that correlate to endings. He also helps with transitions relating to relationships, career, addictions and the like, helping us to navigate as smoothly as possible through life’s transitions.

Archangel Chamuel

Archangel Chamuel’s name means ‘he who sees God’. This Archangel has been called by many names throughout history and therefore is sometimes confused with other Angels. His mission is to bring peace to the world and as such, he protects the world from fear and lower vibrating and negative energies. He is believed to have all knowing vision seeing the interconnectedness between all of creation.

Archangel Chamuel assists us in finding the strength and courage to face adversity when it seems that we have none. He’s the restorer of our fighting spirit. He can also help to find items that are lost, to find important parts of our lives such as life purpose, a love relationship, a new job, and supportive friendships, and to find solutions to our problems. Lastly, Archangel Chamuel also helps to heal anxiety, bring peace, and to repair relationships as well as misunderstandings.
